EpicDubs consists of Jacob Moshokoa and Donovan Bagnall who have known each other since 1995, and shared a common interest in cars .
It wasn’t until after High School when the love and understanding of modified cars shifted towards the Volkswagen scene, and it wasn’t long until we traded in our rust buckets inherited from the parents (and the idea of getting "real" jobs) for some serious Volkswagens.
Sometime In 2010 while hanging out with friends, the crazy idea of a car show came up .This was obviously fueled by our collection and reading of the VW Performance magazine, where we felt that many of the sorry excuses for shows in South Africa were not even scratching the surface of the standard set by international shows.
At the end of September 2010, it finally happened – The first ever EpicDubs car wash get together came to life. The support from friends and family was tremendous and the turn up at the show itself was impressive for first timers. Thereafter, more contacts and networking took place, while the two studied and learned more about what happens in the modified Volkswagen scene and attended more shows.
With three shows in the bag ,we decided that the show aspect of EpicDubs needed a full face lift so we bravely decided to make our first ever trip overseas to the mother all shows -- “Worthersee” -- which has literally changed the face of EpicDubs forever.
